These swords were made to test out some material concepts. By learning different effects that can be achieved with texture and material I was trying to create new opportunities in my modelling.

 

Final Breath was made to appear ghostly by using a combination of transparency and emissive light. The design is actually derived from x-ray images of various creatures.

 

Shadow Tongue has a completely black diffuse and gets all of it's detail from a specular image of smoke. When it's not reacting to light it appears as a black silhouette.
